Functions of a single brain cell

I was thinking the other day (really hurts doing that) what the stupidest thing I’ve done to prove a point was.

I think this is the one …

When I was about six one of my friends told me her dad said she had to stop sucking her thumb because it would make her bones stretch.  Being six I thought he was pulling her leg, so I embarked on a six week experiment to prove him wrong.

I spent all my spare time sucking my left thumb as hard as I could.

After that I got my result.

Turns out he was right

I now have one thumb about 1.5cm longer than the other.

Isn’t science fun :D
