Got a box today
I got into work today and the entire space under my desk was filled with one box. I was expecting a delivery but not something big enough to put both my kids in.

Why should this apply only to robots?
I think these are a fairly sensible set of rules everyone should follow
A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
A robot must obey any orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

Office construction part 2
For the new office construction I had to unpack the desks I dismantled about a year ago.
Then we just had to work out how to configure them. This room had its floor panels aranged for 3 rows of parallel desks when it was a training room, so the power and network points are in odd places.
Yes it did take 3 of us and a white board to try and work it out.

Friday was Saint Georges day. As is tradition the local morris dancing troupes gather for their annual pub crawl public display.
They close the end of my street to traffic and spend an hour or so dancing, so I take pictures.
Epic beards on display together with flowery hats and shoes with bells.

When I got to work today, there was a box on my desk waiting for me, how mysterious..
Inside the box, was a load of foam packaging and a padded envelope…must be valuable

Disk drives die
In the last couple of days I’ve been having heinous problems with iTunes syncing with my iPhone. I had been working under the assumption that the artwork was a problem. Since the upgrade to 9.0.2 the artwork started being a bit fruity. I had been getting odd things like the artwork for Buzz Out Loud being replaced for random genius mix.
Working with that assumption, I went into my iTunes...
